The Screenwriters Meetup brings Sydney screenwriters together to talk about films, scenes and the work on our own desks. Members range from first drafts to produced writers.
The sessions
Script & Screen Salon. Once a month, on a Saturday at 1:30 pm, we pick a film or a handful of scenes and take them apart: what works, what doesn’t, and what we can steal. Online for now; back in a room next year.
Work Your Concept / Script. Online workshops on Zoom, run by Neer Shelter. Bring a logline, a concept or pages; we do table reads and give notes.
How it works
- Join with three short questions. Every request is read by a person.
- Once approved, RSVP to any session. The Zoom link goes to everyone who is coming.
- Reminders arrive two days and two hours before each session.
House rules
Be generous with notes and honest about the work. Talk about the page, never the person. No selling, no spam.
